Well it’s that time of year again and we are ready to kick off the first meeting of our 2013/14 club year.
Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at the Remi-Rossignol Building, Room D-002, U de M Campus. Meet and greet will begin at 6:30 pm with regular meeting starting at 7:00 pm.
The meeting will include signing memberships for the year.
Please bring your completed form to the meeting, along with your payment. Cheques can be made payable to "Focus Camera Club".  Extra forms will be on hand at the meeting.

The second part of the meeting will be
opening remarks followed by showing your best images from "How I spent my Summer!" 

The 1st meeting of the month will be dedicated to our members with images for view, contest and club member mini presentation.
The 2nd meeting of the month will be dedicated to images for view and a Special Presentation.

CLUB CONTEST:  Images for Club Contests will be held monthly at the 1st meeting of the month starting October 10th VERY IMPORTANT – there will be a maximum of 3 images per person allowed to be shown with no exceptions. 
Each month, the Contest winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Ivan's Camera.             
All members submitting contest images will have the option to have one of their 3 images posted in the club gallery each month. The image you want posted in the gallery will need to be identified when being submitted. Example 02_your name_ contest gallery.jpg.
IMAGES FOR VIEW:  Images for view will be held at every meeting. VERY IMPORTANT – there will a maximum of 3 images per person allowed to be shown with no exceptions. Anyone who submits images for view will have their name entered into a monthly draw to take place during the 2nd meeting of every month. The winner will win a print of one of their own images to be printed by Ivan's Camera to the maximum size of 11 x 14.
Please send a separate email for each category you wish to enter and put "For Club Contest” or “FOR VIEW” in the subject line of the email. To make emailing your images easy, please re-size your images to 1024 pixels on the longest edge and have each image properly identified.

Please make sure the images are sent as an attachment and not "inserted".

Email images to  
Deadline for all entrieswill be midnight on the Tuesday before the meeting.  If you were absent at the previous meeting, or your images were submitted after the deadline, your images will not be saved and carried over to the next meeting. You will be responsible to re-submit your images again for the next meeting. No exceptions.
We will not be sending out reminders to announce the next club meeting. Each member is responsible to check our website on their own for the club program at
CAPA:  We are looking for a CAPA Rep, preferably someone who is already an existing CAPA member.  If you are interested in taking on this task, please contact the club president, Nicole LeBlanc as soon as possible by following this link and by selecting the email link next to her name.
MINI PRESENTATIONS:  Anyone interested in giving a mini presentation of no more than 30 minutes on any given month, please contact the program coordinator, Isabelle Levesque as soon as possible by following this link and by selecting the email link next to her name.
VERY IMPORTANT - For those members who have print images only, we would love to see them and we will help put together a presentation with you by scanning your images to create a slide show.
