Shore bird watching from the water on Shediac Bay
and a walk on Shediac Island!
Details:
Where we will meet: Tim Horton's in the Champlain Mall parking lot
Meeting time: between 10:30 and 11:00 to get coffeed up!
Leaving for Point Du Chene: 11:30 sharp - we can car pool.
You can also meet up with the group at the Pointe Du Chene Wharf.
We will be taking a fishing vessel - Pointe Taken (Julie Auffrey's boat) on the hunt to visit a colony of Arctic Terns, Blue Herons, Gulls, Cormorants, etc. We will also visit Shediac Island. We'll leave Pointe du Chene Wharf at 12 noon and we plan to be back between 4:00 and 5:00. Transfer to the island will be made by dingy. You can choose to make the trip to the island or stay on board.
What to bring: warm clothes (in layers), bug spray, sunscreen & boots. Oh... and your camera equipment!! Snacks will be provided by the club.
