Potluck Supper

Laurie Landry and his wife have kindly agreed for the Club to hold our Annual Potluck dinner in their home/cottage. The date for the potluck well be held June 24th with dinner to begin @ 5.00pm and the Landry's agreed to allow people to arrive as early as 3.00pm in order for anyone interested to bring out the camera for some great photography. As I understand it they live along the Northumberland Striaght, if anyone has question's I'm sure Laurie well not mind pointing out some delightful places to shot.

Unofficial Field Trip and photo opportunity:
The Greater Moncton Dragon Boat Festival organizers are proud to present the first Dragon boat race in the greater Moncton area. Teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steersperson compete in a 46' boat. Our generous paddlers will help raise funds to support a worthy causes including the Moncton Lions Club Sick Children's Fund.

This 3 day event, June 9 -11 -2006, will be held on Jones Lake with our festival base at Hillcrest School. Combined with the excitement and competition of dragon boat races, multi-cultural food and entertainment, community spirit and charitable fundraising, you have a colorful three-day event that will attract 600 paddlers and thousands of spectators in a festival atmosphere. It will be fun for the whole family.

This is a great opportunity for our members to create some great photo's of some a fantastic event and for us to show our support as individuals. Come out with us this great event and perhaps share in a lovely cup of coffee afterwards.

Please keep on your minds and in your prayers as Sebastian and family go through Alex's chemotherapy to fight off Myelodysplastic Syndrome - Refractory Anaemia with Excess Blasts. Chef Scott and other friends of Sebastian's are putting together a fund raising dated for June 25th at Chef's pub "Muddy River" in Riverview. We're still looking for framed print donations from our club members for auction to help the cause.
